Every Friday, all summer long
We will be hosting weekly canopy flocking events every Friday afternoon at CSC. The beginning of the season will be focused on high performance canopy flight. Inside this group we will start small and static and begin to build trust amongst the group. The focus will be on flying our canopies safe and close. As our skill level as a group grows, so will the dive flows, and group sizes.
As the season progresses, we plan to introduce an intermediate group each Friday, to include people that may not be on a high performance wing and would like to be in our flock. This intermediate wing loading group is not a beginner group. If you are new to flocking jumps, working with a coach 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 will be required. This is so that you can build the trust in yourself, flying close to others, and we can build the trust in you to advance you to groups of 4 and then more.
This is a rapidly growing discipline in our sport and we would like everyone to be included. For safety, we are starting this small, and growing as the season progresses.
If you have no flocking experience and would like to schedule some 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 coaching, that can be arranged on an individual basis. Contact Klash for details.
For the sake of advancing as a group, we would like people to attend as many of their skill level Fridays as possible. We are also asking that when you come to a flocking Friday event, you commit to jumping with the team until sunset. Start time will be based on group availability.
Before your first jump, you will participate in a safety briefing before you begin jumping with the team and we will do these on an as needed basis. The first being before your first jump with the team.
If we have a videographer available we would like to have outside video of each jump. On these types of jumps, 1st person head cam video is very inadequate in debriefing. With outside video we will all learn and progress more as a group. You will also get some video of YOU (which we all love as skydivers). We will work with the drop zone and ask that the group split the cost of these slots.
