“...But I’m afraid of heights!”
Needless to say, we’ve heard it before. Notably, we’ve heard it from lots of people right before they experienced their first triumphant tandem skydive. Moments of fear don’t have to keep you from realizing your full potential. In fact, it’ll just convey extra bonus points when you land -- but if you need a little encouragement to get on that plane (or get out), you’re not alone. Here are five things you should know:
1. You’ve never bonded with your friends like this before.
The feeling you’ll get when you suit up and head to the plane with your besties is unlike any other experience you’ll ever have. After riding that wave of adrenaline together out into the sky, your high-fives in the landing area will feel like you just entered a new world. (And you did!)

2. You’ll conquer fear.
You’re nervous. Of course you’re nervous. We were nervous for our first tandem jumps, too! At Chicagoland Skydiving Center (CSC), however, you can face down that nervousness with the confidence of our spotless tandem student safety record. You can turn down the volume of your anxiety by reflecting on the many ways we look after your well-being -- from super-strict aircraft maintenance to modern, well-inspected equipment to professional, licensed instructors -- and simply enjoy the excitement of your jump.
3. You’ll be whipping out those videos and photos for a lifetime.
CSC’s photo and video packages capture your tandem skydive in glorious full HD, and our high-flying photographer/videographers are brilliant. You'll catch yourself looking up at the clouds and trying to believe it really happened, and you'll be able to show everyone that it really did.
4. You’ll get a whole new perspective on your world.
Since we first opened our doors in 1968, more than 300,000 people have gotten their first bird’s-eye view of Chicago from our planes. CSC is the original Chicago dropzone, and has more experience introducing first timers to skydiving near Chicago. There’s a reason that people keep telling their friends they’ve gotta try it -- the landscape around here is classically beautiful. You truly have to see it to believe it. The view of life from under a parachute is simply unexplainable.
