skydive update

Last week was pretty slow around the DZ with low clouds and rain - a good week for the Super Otter to leave for Middletown, OH for Team Fastrax training. The Otter returned Friday aftenoon, just in time for the perfect weather! We had our busiest student weekend of the season and flew non-stop both days. Including 30 loads on Sunday!

For those of you who made your first jumps with us last weekend, welcome to the family! We sold more 2nd tandem skydives last week than we ever have before. We owe that to our great office staff, instructors, and support staff. Everyone on our team is a big part of why people to choose to skydive at CSC vs. any other skydiving center. We owe each and every one of you a debt of gratitude for your continued support and efforts.

Matty Wright's tube jumps were a big hit as everyone took advantage of the $17 Chill Boogie jumps. Special thanks to Arianna for making the tube.

The Chill Boogie continues thru this weekend. So, why go down to the Convention and spend 70 bucks just to get in the gate when you can get $17 jumps here all week from the nicest Super Otter in skydiving? Besides, our parties are better here at CSC!

We are busy everyday this week, so if you're looking for a reason to ditch out of work, come on out. The Super Otter is gone to Middletown again, but is scheduled back on Wednesday afternoon. In the meantime, Skydive Chicago is supporting us with a Super Otter. We have over 20 students on the books for Wednesday.

Robert Chromy is coming back for another 4-way camp August 10 - 14, so plan on being here. The teams will be training for 5 days straight. That means the Otter will be flying all day, everyday!

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, we are re-scheduling the $250 All-You-Can-Jump Boogie for August 26 - 27. Remember, one rig, no double-manifesting.

Safety:

We need to keep a better eye on each other while crossing the runway. From now on, CSC staff members and load organizers will be assisting jumpers across the runway. With the east winds we've been having this season, we need to keep a closer eye out for approaching gliders, tow planes, and the Otter on base leg and final approach. We have a great place out here, but we have to respect the fact that we share the runway with the soaring club. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please email doug@skydivecsc.com.
