Sorry for the delay between updates, but we've simply been too busy to get our thoughts together. To say things are starting off on the right foot this season, would be an understatement. Granted, it's been windy and there are some frustrated Freefall University students out there, but trust us, the winds will come down and you will have a great time out here. Our first-time tandem student numbers are at record levels - exceeding the strongest season we've ever had. Everyone on the CSC Team is excited about the way things are going and the energy is very positive on the DZ.

This weekend is the unofficial start of the summer season and we are ready! Plan on an exciting and busy 4-day weekend...

Please note that the PAC is on the road this weekend covering an event at Quad City Skydiving Center. We will be flying the PAC all day on Friday and CSC Rhythm will be training hard before the Otter returns on Saturday morning. They are scheduled to do 12+ jumps/day Friday - Monday. That said, we are starting at 10:00am on Friday. Also, please note that we will be open at 7:30am on Monday for Memorial Day.

As you may or may not know, Jeff brought the Super Otter back from Cuautla, Mexico 2 weeks ago and stopped off in Mena, AR to have the airplane stripped and painted. They put the first coat of color on this morning. I am heading down there on Friday morning to bring her back so we can kick-off the summer skydiving season in style. We all hope you can make it early on Saturday morning for the official unveiling.

A few new specials that we have introduced have really taken off this season. First of all, we are now offering half-priced gear rental every Monday - Friday (except holidays). We are seeing a much busier weekday DZ than in the past and we think the gear rental specials are helping. Also, don't forget about our $15 to 15,000' special. Some people have politely brought it to my attention that I have only given them 14,700 feet on a couple of loads. For that, you have my deepest apologies.

I would like to offer a congratulations to several new PAC pilots who have joined us recently. As many of you have noticed, I have been sitting in the right seat training some new pilots over the past few weeks. As of Monday, all 3 have passed their initial PAC 750XL training and checkrides. Jeff is now a PAC pilot along with Andrew Goodwin and Jason Palmer.

It's hard to believe that next weekend is Matty's Vibe Invitational already. We will be operating both the Super Otter and the PAC, so hire a packer and plan on doing some jumping! Matty has been asking me to send an update out for the past 3 weeks to get the word out about his pig & lamb roast next Saturday, June 2. If you are interested in joining in on the roast, please email Matty directly so he can plan. Food is $10/person.

Don't forget that MSX, our 10th annual Skydiving for MS fundraiser, is just 2 weeks away! It is going to be the biggest and best event we've ever held. With two turbine aircraft, DJs on Friday night, live music by Ben Crooch's Whiskey Bound on Saturday night, and of course, the chance to win a 100 jump package at CSC!!!

We've started a new feature on the website that should be helpful to everyone looking for a reason to bail out of work early. We have revamped our student reservation times so that everything happens later in the day. We now have student reservations at 12:00pm, 3:00pm, and 6:00pm. We do our best to push people to the later time slots so that we are busy flying everyday until sunset. Keep an eye on the "FLIGHT STATUS" page on the website to see what's going on each day. We hope to have the webcams back up and running soon.

A note about jump accounts: Please make sure that all accounts are paid in full or have a credit card on-file. We are seeing far too many people carry negative balances. If you have a jump package account, please keep your cash account balance positive as well. If you're unsure of your current account(s) balance, contact Manifest today and they can send you an account statement.
